About the role#
Boulay is hiring a Tax Intern for the Spring 2028 term in our Mankato office. This is a full-time, paid internship running from January through April. You will work within our Tax Department to support individuals and businesses with tax preparation and planning. We provide in-depth onboarding, training, and a mentor to help you settle into the team.
What you'll do#
- Prepare income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and multistate entities.
- Assist the team with quarterly tax planning.
- Conduct tax research projects.
- Respond to various inquiries from Federal and State taxing authorities.
- Handle special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a bachelor or master degree in accounting or 150 credit hours.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Completion of intermediate accounting coursework.
- Completion of tax or audit coursework prior to the start of the internship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.

- This role is based on-site in Mankato, Minnesota.
- The position pays $28.00 per hour.
