About the role#
This R&D Research Data Science internship within the Active Implantable Systems group focuses on developing technologies to monitor and treat heart conditions. You will work on projects related to heart rhythm management, heart failure, and sudden cardiac arrest. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Arden Hills, Minnesota.
What you'll do#
- Build deep learning models to predict cardiac events using ECG and other physiological signals.
- Use signal processing techniques to clean, analyze, and interpret biosignals for device diagnostics.
- Support the design of AI and machine learning algorithms to improve implantable device performance.
- Work with engineering teams to integrate Python-based tools for data analysis, simulation, and model validation.
- Analyze large datasets from implantable devices to find patterns that inform future therapy development.
What you'll need#
- Current Ph.D. student in Neuroscience or Biomedical Engineering with a graduation date by May 2028.
- Previous internship experience with the Boston Scientific AIS R&D department.
- Ability to start on May 17th or 24th, 2027, and commit to a 12-week term.
