About the role#
As a Digital & IT Intern, you will join the Data & Analytics team to support the growth and scalability of enterprise data platforms. This role focuses on platform engineering, software development, and the infrastructure that supports analytics and artificial intelligence solutions. You will work alongside platform engineers to understand technical requirements, research new tools, and document project outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and enhancement of scalable data and AI platform capabilities.
- Contribute to software engineering activities using Python.
- Assist with platform growth, performance, reliability, and operational improvement.
- Work with Apache Spark and distributed computing concepts to support data workloads.
- Support testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and implementation activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- A graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Proficiency in Python gained through coursework, projects, or prior experience.
- Familiarity with Apache Spark, big data platforms, or distributed computing concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Term: 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
