About the role#
Bohler is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term in West Hartford, Connecticut. This full-time, on-site role provides experience in land development and site design. You will work alongside engineers, designers, and project managers to support the design and permitting of commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use projects.
What you'll do#
- Gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D to create concept, grading, stormwater, utility, and soil erosion plans.
- Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
- Visit project sites to observe field conditions and the engineering process.
- Collaborate with project teams to coordinate and drive projects forward.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to design and process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Interest in civil site design, land development, and problem-solving.
