About the role#
Bohler is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for our West Hartford, Connecticut office for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role. You will work alongside engineers, designers, and project managers to support the design and permitting of commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments. This position offers exposure to the complete site development process, from concept to construction.
What you'll do#
- Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to design concept, grading, stormwater, utility, and soil erosion plans.
- Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
- Visit sites to observe field conditions.
- Collaborate with the project team to drive projects forward.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to design and process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- An interest in civil site design, land development, and problem-solving.
