About the role#
The Government Operations and Sustainability internship program offers students the opportunity to support advocacy and outreach efforts across federal, state, and local government levels. Interns work alongside mentors and senior leaders to gain experience in policy, sustainability strategy, and stakeholder engagement. This is a paid, full-time program designed to provide hands-on experience in the aerospace industry.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with senior leaders and lobbyists to prepare briefs, presentations, and documents.
- Provide support to company-wide leaders on government-related matters.
- Monitor legislative, regulatory, and news developments within your team's focus area.
- Assist in operational tasks to support team objectives.
- Engage in projects related to sustainability strategy, benchmarking, data analysis, and project management.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program with an anticipated graduation date on or after August 2027.
- Availability for full-time work for 10-12 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- A history of academic distinction with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Previous internships, work experience, or involvement with student or civic organizations.
- A strong interest in the aerospace industry.
- Preferred fields of study include Public Health, Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Must meet Export Control compliance requirements as a US Person (US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
