About the role#
The Credit Internship Program at BNY provides students with exposure to the Credit and Lending Practice. You will work on projects related to credit analysis, underwriting, portfolio monitoring, and transaction support. This 10-week summer program is designed to build your understanding of the credit lifecycle and the role of risk management in financial decisions.
What you'll do#
- Analyze company financials, industry trends, and key risk indicators to support assessments.
- Assist with credit materials, portfolio reviews, and reporting for team evaluations.
- Learn how deal structures are built and how lending decisions balance growth, risk, and client needs.
- Partner with experienced professionals to understand disciplined underwriting and its role in client relationships.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program, specifically in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Graduation date in December 2027 or May 2028.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- You must not require sponsorship for employment visa status.
