About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will join our campus program to gain hands-on experience in Information Security while contributing to the daily operations of our mission-critical systems. You will work on-site in Toronto, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain a secure environment.
What you'll do#
- Monitor, maintain, and support security tools and applications.
- Handle day-to-day service requests, transactions, and queries within established service level agreements.
- Coordinate incident management activities, including engaging third-party providers and deploying changes to production.
- Create activity reports for security tools and systems.
- Recommend process improvements to streamline security operations and increase efficiency.
- Provide technical subject matter expertise and identify opportunities to strengthen organizational security capabilities.
- Apply the Risk Management Framework to protect bank assets while executing tasks.
- Stay current with industry trends and technical developments through professional learning.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an academic program, with plans to return to studies after the internship.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- Foundational knowledge of information security operations, processes, and controls.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for partnering with business and technology teams.
- A motivated mindset with a strong desire to learn.
- Preference for candidates pursuing or holding certifications from institutions such as (ISC)2, ISACA, or SANS.
- Previous experience in information security, IT operations, or systems administration is an asset.
