About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in commercial banking. You will work within an assigned portfolio to support lending decisions, monitor client accounts, and assist with financial risk assessments. The program runs from June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027. We require full availability for the duration of the term.
What you'll do#
- Analyze credit information to support lending decisions for new and existing commercial loans.
- Perform financial calculations and share recommendations with your manager.
- Prepare detailed credit summaries to evaluate creditworthiness.
- Monitor portfolio performance, analyze metrics, and spot industry trends or risks.
- Build and maintain client relationships to support long-term financial performance.
- Structure new, renewal, and extension loans while following bank policies.
- Manage data entry and use analysis tools to support business decisions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- Foundational proficiency in financial analysis, loan structuring, and credit risk assessment.
- Ability to use data analysis tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of banking operations and regulatory compliance.
- Previous experience in credit, lending, or financial operations is preferred.

- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in San Francisco, California.
- The program is for Summer 2027.
