About the role#
BlueWave is hiring a Development Services Co-op for the Winter 2027 term. This position runs from January 2027 through June 2027. You will support our portfolio strategy by analyzing and acquiring new solar photovoltaic and energy storage projects. This role involves evaluating project viability across multiple state markets by reviewing environmental factors, electrical interconnection capacity, and local regulations.
What you'll do#
- Use solar design software and GIS tools to search for, analyze, and create preliminary designs for prospective sites.
- Prepare and present reports on development opportunities based on electrical, environmental, and regulatory criteria.
- Contribute to the early-stage development of solar and battery storage pipelines.
- Track and manage tasks throughout the site acquisition process to ensure project delivery.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate bachelor’s program, specifically in Environmental and Sustainability Science or a related field.
- Preference for at least one previous co-op or work experience in a related discipline like engineering, design, construction, real estate, or energy development.
- Familiarity with renewable energy systems.
- Experience using GIS tools, Google Earth, Google Maps, Microsoft applications, CRM platforms, and Adobe.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
- Ability to think creatively to streamline operations.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

- Location: Boston, Massachusetts.
- Modality: Hybrid (requires at least three days per week in the office).
- Term: January 2027 through June 2027.
- Compensation: $24 per hour.
