About the role#
The Asset Management Co-op supports the daily operational and technical performance of solar and storage assets. This position provides hands-on experience in project onboarding, data analysis, and cross-functional operations. You will work with various teams to ensure assets run effectively throughout their lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Monitor solar and storage performance using SCADA and other management systems.
- Validate production and financial data for internal and external reporting.
- Assist with monthly performance summaries and variance analysis.
- Support the onboarding of new sites by reviewing documentation and verifying data.
- Help develop asset operation plans and maintain the asset registry.
- Review as-built and single-line diagrams alongside other technical documentation.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, and Project Execution teams.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports based on operational data.
- Compile information for quarterly ESG reporting and agriculture production reports for agrivoltaic projects.
- Conduct research to support portfolio strategy and risk assessments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering, with a preference for Mechanical or Electrical disciplines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with datasets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Genuine interest in renewable energy and asset operations.
- Previous internship, project work, or coursework related to energy systems, data analysis, or engineering.
- Experience with SQL, Python, R, or BI tools like Power BI is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid 6-month co-op position for Winter 2027 (January through June).
- The role is based in Boston, Massachusetts.
- This position follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring you to commute to the Boston office at least 3 days per week.
