About the role#
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our LNG equipment team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Overland Park, Kansas. You will contribute to infrastructure projects while gaining hands-on experience in engineering design and analysis.
What you'll do#
- Develop, evaluate, and design specifications and contract drawings.
- Prepare basic calculations and assist in equipment selection.
- Support engineering analyses and report production.
- Use computer modeling to analyze systems.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and schedule project deliverables.
- Collect, organize, and evaluate data.
- Manage and file project materials and references.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ABET accredited Mechanical or Chemical Engineering program.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer tools.
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks and drug screens.
- Coursework in fluids and thermodynamics is preferred.
