    About the role#

    We are hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team in Jessup, Maryland. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship. You will work on real projects that provide insight into our engineering design processes and fabrication methods.

    What you'll do#

    • Create 3D CAD designs and drafts for mechanical components and assemblies.
    • Convert drawings from AutoCAD to Autodesk Inventor.
    • Design, analyze, debug, and rework sheet metal parts.
    • Prepare and present a final report at the end of your project.
    • Participate in team activities to learn about our engineering design and fabrication workflows.

    What you'll need#

    • You are currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and have reached Junior status or higher.
    • Strong mechanical design skills and an understanding of design practices.
    • You are mechanically inclined and can visualize spatial relationships.
    • Experience with 3D CAD software, specifically Autodesk Inventor.
    • A thorough understanding of AutoCAD.
    • Previous internship experience, Autodesk Vault knowledge, and sheet metal design experience are preferred.

    Location & details#

    • This position is located in Jessup, Maryland.
    • The role is on-site and full-time.
    • Compensation is $22 to $28 per hour, with overtime pay as required by law.
