About the role#
The Post Office Student Worker position supports the Finance and Operations department by managing campus mail distribution and package services. This role requires moving between locations on campus and occasionally driving to the local post office annex. The work environment is primarily indoors, though it involves some time outdoors and in a vehicle.
What you'll do#
- Pick up interoffice and incoming mail from the Bethel Post Office and deliver it to department mail stops.
- Retrieve outgoing mail from department mail stops and return it to the Bethel Post Office.
- Drop off outgoing USPS mail at the New Brighton Post Office Annex once per day.
- Check incoming packages into the campus computer system.
- Organize student and staff packages for pickup or delivery and verify identities during distribution.
- Provide basic customer service for common mail-related issues.
- Perform physical tasks including standing or walking for up to an hour, reaching or bending, and carrying up to 30 pounds.
What you'll need#
- Must be a current Bethel Student.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently.
- Basic computer skills, including typing and scanning.
- A valid driver's license.
- Punctuality and the ability to read and follow instructions.

- Schedule: 3 to 5 hours per week.
