Reporting to the Director of BUILD, this position provides comprehensive oversight of the career development and internship components of the Certificate in Applied Studies program. This role blends classroom instruction with program management to help students with intellectual disabilities discover their strengths and build career skills within a Christ-centered community.
What you'll do#
- Teach up to 16 credits of career-focused coursework per year, including BUILD Jobs and Employment, Independent Study, and Internship courses.
- Manage the internship program by developing sites, providing ongoing support, and executing internship fairs.
- Design and monitor Personalized Learning Plans (PLP) for student advisees, including conducting two meetings per student annually.
- Hire, train, and supervise student Job Mentors who provide on-site support to interns.
- Coordinate vehicle scheduling for student internships.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years of experience working with students with disabilities.
- Expertise in the characteristics of students with intellectual disabilities.
- Ability to plan, develop, and implement curriculum using Universal Design for Learning principles.
- Working knowledge of disability accommodations, supports, and community agencies serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage student workers.

- Employment: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: $50,000–$53,850 annually.
