About the role#
As a P&C Underwriting Intern, you will join our Casualty Underwriting Team in Atlanta for a 12-week summer program. This role offers hands-on experience in assessing risk, structuring policies, and managing a business portfolio. You will work alongside experienced underwriters to help protect client assets and support the profitability of our business.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate and underwrite casualty risks.
- Gain exposure to the insurance lifecycle and the broader commercial casualty market.
- Collaborate with experienced underwriters and cross-functional teams.
- Participate in real-world projects that impact our customers and business.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field like Risk Management or Actuarial Science.
- Proficiency in math with comfort in statistics, probability, and financial principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively as part of a team.
- A self-motivated approach with a focus on detail and time management.
- A customer-focused mindset, integrity, and a drive for continuous improvement.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship located on-site in Atlanta, Georgia.
- The term is for Summer 2027.
- Compensation ranges from $22 to $26 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
