About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship focused on Healthcare Professional Liability. You will work with our underwriting teams in Boston or Atlanta to learn how we evaluate risk and craft insurance solutions. You will gain hands-on experience with the insurance lifecycle and the commercial healthcare market.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate and underwrite healthcare risks, such as hospital systems and senior living facilities.
- Manage a business portfolio and structure policies.
- Collaborate with experienced underwriters and cross-functional teams.
- Work on projects that impact our customers and business operations.
- Assess risk and pricing strategies while monitoring market trends.
What you'll need#
- You are pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- You have an interest in insurance and underwriting.
- You are comfortable with statistics, probability, and financial principles.
- You possess strong math skills and a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- You are an effective communicator who works well in a team.
- You are adaptable, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
Location & details#
- This internship takes place during Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Boston, Massachusetts, or Atlanta, Georgia.
- This is a full-time, paid position with a salary range of $22 to $26 per hour, depending on experience.
