About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship running from May through August 2027. You will gain hands-on experience across several research modules, including planting, data collection, and plot production. The role provides furnished housing or a stipend during the summer.
What you'll do#
- Organize seed and plant research studies, including cleaning meter units and flagging or staking plots.
- Collect, report, and analyze stand count data to compare fungicide and insecticide treatments.
- Thin plots to meet desired population targets.
- Design and map test plots, which includes numbering and installing signs and stakes.
- Support sales staff by providing agronomic information.
- Ride along with the PFR Location Lead on customer calls to diagnose agronomic issues and evaluate hybrid performance.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate course work in an agriculture-related field.
- A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
- Ability to obtain a Chauffer license or equivalent if required.
- A farm background and general farm knowledge are helpful.

- This position is based in Effingham, Illinois.
- This is an on-site role.
- Employment is contingent upon passing a drug test and background check.
