About the role#
The Tax Intern, Transfer Pricing works with a team of consulting economists. You will help multi-national companies price transactions between entities within their corporate group. This role involves examining economic conditions and industry trends to help companies comply with tax regulations. You will consult with clients to set or substantiate prices charged between related parties.
What you'll do#
- Conduct client interviews to gather information on corporate structure, functional responsibilities, and risk distribution.
- Analyze industry and financial data to benchmark intercompany pricing policies.
- Perform financial analysis, including market penetration scenarios and intangible property valuation.
- Prepare project reports and presentations that convey analysis results and recommendations.
- Participate in presentations to pitch service capabilities to potential clients.
- Write industry overviews, functional analyses, and technical memos.
- Take interview notes and prepare detailed summaries.
- Proofread and edit reports before delivery.
What you'll need#
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to produce initial drafts of project deliverables independently.
- Skilled in proofing and editing technical material.
- Effective interpersonal skills with experience in public speaking or presentations.
- Ability to communicate directly with clients professionally.
- Solid organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Basic understanding of transfer pricing and a desire to learn more about the industry.
- Leadership experience is preferred.
