About the role#
BBYO is looking for an intern to assist the team behind the International Convention, a large annual gathering of Jewish teens. You will work with event professionals to manage the logistics, systems, and operations required for this event. This is a paid position offering $18.40 per hour for 15-20 hours of work per week. The internship runs from September 2026 through March 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support travel and registration operations by managing participant logistics and maintaining accurate records.
- Coordinate program and event supplies, including tracking inventory and working with vendors.
- Maintain and organize event data by updating records, reviewing waivers, and managing information across systems.
- Process payments and support administrative financial tasks.
- Partner with the team on operational projects and logistical challenges leading up to and during the event.
What you'll need#
- A status as a college student, ideally in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Logistics, Human Resources, Political Science, Sociology, or Psychology.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to work as a responsible self-starter who manages independent tasks well.
- Comfort working with data and administrative systems.
- Availability to work 15-20 hours per week from September 2026 through March 2027.
- Ability to work in-person at the International Convention from February 9 to February 15, 2027.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This role is remote, though preference is given to candidates who can work in the Washington, DC office one day per week.
- You must have authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
