BBYO is seeking an organized and proactive intern to support the operations behind the International Convention (IC), a large-scale global event for Jewish teens. You will work alongside experienced event professionals to manage the logistics, systems, and administrative tasks required to bring this event to life. This role is ideal for students interested in event operations, logistics, and project coordination.
What you'll do#
- Support travel and registration operations by managing participant logistics and maintaining accurate attendee records.
- Coordinate program and event supplies, including placing orders, tracking inventory, and communicating with vendors.
- Maintain and organize event data by updating records in systems such as Airtable and managing participant waivers.
- Process payments and financial records, including registration payment tracking and reconciliation.
- Partner across the IC team to tackle operational projects, solve logistical challenges, and provide support leading up to and during the event.
What you'll need#
- Ability to work as a responsible self-starter who balances independent tasks with team collaboration.
- Strong attention to detail with effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Comfort working with data and administrative systems, with an eagerness to learn new platforms.
- Current enrollment as a college student in fields such as Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Logistics, Human Resources, Political Science, Sociology, or Psychology.
Location & details#
- Term: Fall 2026 through Winter 2027 (September 2026 – March 2027).
- Commitment: 15-20 hours per week.
- Modality: This is a remote position, though preference is given to candidates able to work from the Washington, DC office one day per week.
- Event Requirement: Availability to work in-person at the International Convention from Tuesday, February 9, 2027, through Monday, February 15, 2027.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship at $18.40 per hour.
- Eligibility: Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
