About the role#
This undergraduate research position is based in the laboratory of Dr. Olga Makhlynets at Baylor University for the Summer 2026 term. The role involves supporting ongoing research activities and laboratory operations.
What you'll do#
- Perform laboratory research and participate in research activities.
- Assist in carrying out experiments, analyzing data, testing, and interpreting results.
- Maintain research equipment and manage laboratory inventory or supplies.
- Prepare research reports and assist with project documentation.
- Adhere to and ensure safety procedures and precautions are followed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission of the university.
What you'll need#
- Ability to comply with university policies.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Enrollment in Chemistry, Biology, or Chemical Engineering majors is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Work Modality: On-site at the Baylor Sciences Building.
- Schedule: 10 hours per week with flexible working hours.
- Employment Term: June 29, 2026, to July 10, 2026.
- Compensation: $7.50 per hour.
