About the role#
Baylor University is hiring a Student Worker for the Applied Performance department. This role offers practical experience in sports science at a Division 1 institution. You will report to the Director for Applied Performance and support various varsity sport programs during the Summer and Fall 2026 semesters.
What you'll do#
- Manage performance technologies and collect data for designated sport teams.
- Help educate student-athletes on recovery strategies and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with staff across different Sports Performance departments.
- Handle administrative and logistical tasks as needed.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program related to fields such as Kinesiology, Biology, Nutrition, Psychology, Data Science, Communications, or Public Health.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- A background or interest in Sports Science, Strength and Conditioning, or related fields.
- Experience with software applications like Microsoft Office, R, or Python.
- Strong work ethic and clear communication skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Simpson Athletic and Academic Complex, Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: On-site, 10 hours per week.
- Availability: Flexible hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some evening and weekend work required.
- Status: Paid position.
