About the role#
This role supports the Advancement Events team at Mission Waco. You will work alongside the Director of Events and Communication to assist with the logistics, planning, and execution of fundraising events, including the Annual Celebration Banquet, Golf Tournament, Race ONE 5K, Fashion with a Passion Style Show, and the Champions of Service Luncheon. This position also provides support for the daily clerical and operational needs of the children and youth after-school programs and the annual Toy Store community event.
What you'll do#
- Capture photos and create highlight videos at Mission Waco programs and special events.
- Assist in the planning and execution of major fundraising events.
- Create content for social media regarding special events, sponsorships, and annual campaign strategies.
- Support daily clerical and operational tasks for children and youth programs.
- Attend and assist with special events as needed.
What you'll need#
- Must be eligible for federal work-study.
- Ability to operate a DSLR or 4K camera.
- Proficiency in editing with Adobe Premier.
- Experience creating content on design platforms.
- Social media knowledge is preferred.
- A flexible attitude, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.
- Reliable transportation, as this is off-campus employment.
Location & details#
- Location: Waco, Texas.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Schedule: 10 to 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, with some availability required for evening and weekend events.
- Pay: $11.00 to $12.50 per hour, depending on student status and skill level.
