About the role#
This position supports the Athletics department by managing the logistics and operations of home athletic contests. Students will gain experience in event management by assisting with the day-to-day functions required to host successful events.
What you'll do#
- Set up and break down event spaces, including team areas, concession stands, and merchandise stations.
- Operate public address systems, scoreboards, and game clocks during home contests.
- Manage ticket sales, concessions, and ushering duties for attendees.
- Perform sideline duties such as serving on the football chain crew, acting as a ball retriever, or floor sweeping.
- Maintain equipment according to safety protocols and follow established cleaning and operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- Ability to assist with all functions of event management for Athletics.
- Commitment to following safety and maintenance procedures.
- Interest in gaining experience in event operations.
- This role is open to students majoring in Kinesiology, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or Public Health.
