Help Desk+ Support Consultant

About the role#

This student position provides technical support to students, faculty, and staff at HelpDesk+ in Moody Library. You will assist with specialized business and operational functions that contribute to departmental goals while providing consistent customer service.

What you'll do#

• Receive and release computers for service.
• Respond to inquiries regarding computer hardware, software, printers, and wireless networks.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems with computer systems, applications, and network connectivity.
• Install, configure, and maintain software applications.
• Provide training to users on technology resources.
• Assist with checking in and out technology equipment.
• Complete daily administrative tasks, including inventory management and email correspondence.
• Perform business operations duties and assist with various departmental projects.

• Strong customer service orientation.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Preferred majors include Computer Science, Business Administration, or Communications.

Location & details#

• Location: Moody Library, Waco, Texas.
• Schedule: Minimum of 10 hours per week, with availability between 7:30 am and 7:00 pm Monday-Friday, and 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday and Sunday.
• Term: Fall 2026, rolling.
• Compensation: $10.00 per hour.
