About the role#
This student position provides technical support to students, faculty, and staff at HelpDesk+ in Moody Library. You will assist with specialized business and operational functions that contribute to departmental goals while providing consistent customer service.
What you'll do#
- Receive and release computers for service.
- Respond to inquiries regarding computer hardware, software, printers, and wireless networks.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems with computer systems, applications, and network connectivity.
- Install, configure, and maintain software applications.
- Provide training to users on technology resources.
- Assist with checking in and out technology equipment.
- Complete daily administrative tasks, including inventory management and email correspondence.
- Perform business operations duties and assist with various departmental projects.

- Commitment to maintaining the security and confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ability to comply with all University policies.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Preferred majors include Computer Science, Business Administration, or Communications.
Location & details#
- Location: Moody Library, Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: Minimum of 10 hours per week, with availability between 7:30 am and 7:00 pm Monday-Friday, and 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Saturday and Sunday.
- Term: Fall 2026, rolling.
- Compensation: $10.00 per hour.
