About the role#
The Assistant Director of Student Financial Services Communications leads the strategy for financial services communications. This role serves as the brand and communications lead for One Stop, Student Accounts, Financial Aid, and VA Education Benefits. You will support the university's Strategic Enrollment Management plan by managing a team and ensuring communication efforts remain consistent, effective, and compliant.
What you'll do#
- Manage communications for students and parents across multiple channels including email, text, live chat, website, and mail.
- Coordinate with university Compliance to ensure all consumer information meets regulatory and institutional standards.
- Serve as the primary communications point of contact for financial aid operations.
- Audit and evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts to ensure messaging is timely and appropriate.
- Lead the communications team by delegating tasks, setting priorities, and aligning work with university goals.
- Partner with external vendors to support the execution of communication initiatives.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor's degree.
- Three years of relevant work experience, though six years is preferred.
- Ability to comply with all university policies.
- Must be able to travel outside of the state of Texas.
- A background in Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, or Psychology is relevant for this role.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Waco, Texas.
- The role is full-time.
- A hybrid work arrangement is considered on a case-by-case basis.
- The hiring term is rolling.
