About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience within our water resources group. You will support the design and construction of various facilities while working directly with firm clients. This role provides a broad background in engineering through a variety of daily tasks and project involvement.
What you'll do#
- Assist senior engineers with the evaluation, study, and design of stormwater systems.
- Conduct field work and participate in the design of stormwater infrastructure.
- Collaborate with other technical departments, including Infrastructure, Transportation, and CADD.
- Perform construction-related tasks such as quantity computation, construction layout, survey, and construction inspection.
What you'll need#
- Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering.
- A minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0.
- Availability to start in May 2027.
- Ability to travel throughout the Chicago area using your own transportation.
- Strong verbal, computer, organizational, and writing skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of projects.
