    About the role#

    This internship offers hands-on experience within our water resources group. You will support the design and construction of various facilities while working directly with firm clients. This role provides a broad background in engineering through a variety of daily tasks and project involvement.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist senior engineers with the evaluation, study, and design of stormwater systems.
    • Conduct field work and participate in the design of stormwater infrastructure.
    • Collaborate with other technical departments, including Infrastructure, Transportation, and CADD.
    • Perform construction-related tasks such as quantity computation, construction layout, survey, and construction inspection.

    What you'll need#

    • Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering.
    • A minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0.
    • Availability to start in May 2027.
    • Ability to travel throughout the Chicago area using your own transportation.
    • Strong verbal, computer, organizational, and writing skills.
    • Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of projects.

    • Locations: Crystal Lake, Chicago, Naperville, or Mokena, Illinois.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Modality: On-site and hybrid options available.
