About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within our water resources group. You will support the design and construction of various facilities while working directly with firm clients. This position is available for the Summer 2027 term and offers a well-rounded background in civil engineering through a variety of tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist senior engineers with the evaluation, study, and design of stormwater systems.
- Perform field work and design tasks related to stormwater infrastructure.
- Collaborate with other technical departments including infrastructure, transportation, and CADD.
- Handle construction-related tasks such as quantity computation, construction layout, survey, and inspection.
What you'll need#
- Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering.
- A minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0.
- Availability to start in May 2027.
- Ability to travel throughout the Chicago area using your own transportation.
- Strong verbal, computer, organizational, and writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment on diverse projects.

- Compensation: Paid at $23.00 per hour.
