About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based at Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Missouri. You will join the grounds team to maintain the golf course and surrounding resort areas. This role requires on-site work and is open to students or graduates with backgrounds in Agriculture, Environmental Engineering, or Biology.
What you'll do#
- Perform general maintenance and upkeep of golf course grounds, including greens, fairways, and sand traps.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools.
- Manage tree maintenance, including trimming and removal.
- Handle snow and ice removal, as well as debris cleanup across walkways and parking areas.
- Maintain and winterize irrigation systems.
- Keep your supervisor informed of equipment needs and supply levels.
- Respond to guest questions by maintaining a working knowledge of the course and facilities.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Missouri E or Arkansas P driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Basic understanding of golf play and course etiquette.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various outdoor weather conditions.
