About the role#
The BT RISE Internship provides hands-on experience within our Information Technology team. You will work under the supervision of the Software Services Director and an assigned mentor to support artificial intelligence and technology initiatives. This program aims to help you understand how AI tools are evaluated and applied to support firm business objectives.
What you'll do#
- Research and evaluate AI tools, technologies, and potential business use cases.
- Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities to improve processes and business functions.
- Test AI applications, document results, and identify issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation, processes, and procedures for AI initiatives.
- Support projects involving data and information related to AI.
- Participate in internal and external meetings to learn about firm operations.
- Collaborate with other departments and fellow summer interns.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of all firm and client information.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited 2-4 year undergraduate degree program.
- Pursuing a degree in computer science, information technology, data analytics, business, communications, or a related field.
- Entering your sophomore, junior, or senior year in Fall 2027.
- Demonstrated interest in artificial intelligence and emerging technology.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new systems and concepts quickly.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, or other productivity tools is helpful.
- Experience with generative AI tools or coursework in machine learning is a plus.

- Location: Indianapolis, Indiana.
- Term: Summer 2027 (10 consecutive weeks).
- Modality: On-site in a professional office environment.
- Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
