About the role#
The BT RISE Internship program introduces students to the daily operations of a law firm. As an Information Security intern, you will work under the supervision of a department director and a mentor to support business initiatives. You will contribute to projects involving cyber security and information security while gaining practical experience in a professional environment.
What you'll do#
- Support the department in delivering work that advances information security initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members on focused projects.
- Handle data input, data analysis, process documentation, and recordkeeping.
- Participate in internal and external meetings to build business acumen.
- Observe strict confidentiality regarding all client and firm matters.
- Work alongside other departments and summer interns.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited 2-4 year undergraduate degree program.
- Entering your sophomore, junior, or senior year in the fall of 2027.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Accounting, Marketing, or related fields.
- Availability to participate for 10 consecutive weeks.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly.
- Attention to detail, including the ability to proofread materials.
- Ability to follow instructions from a diverse group of attorneys and staff.
- Proficiency with standard office equipment like computers, copiers, and scanners.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
