About the role#
Auto-Owners Insurance is hiring an Accounting Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a paid, part-time position based on-site in Lansing, Michigan. You will work with our accounting team to support financial operations and reporting.
What you'll do#
- Prepare accounting reports for state and federal agencies.
- Learn and apply insurance accounting principles.
- Help shift manual accounting operations into automated systems.
- Use stored data to solve problems.
- Create reports to assist management with decision making.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in college, entering your junior or senior year with a major in Accounting.
- Ability to work at least 20 hours per week during the spring semester.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and resolve complex issues.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret data.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

- Pay: $18.00 per hour.
