About the role#
Austin Industrial offers a 12-week summer internship for students pursuing a career in human resources. You will work from our corporate headquarters in Dallas, gaining exposure to recruiting, employee engagement, compensation, benefits, and HR operations. This full-time program allows you to collaborate with subject-matter experts across our construction lines of business while participating in social events and site visits.
What you'll do#
- Explore HR disciplines including recruiting, employee engagement, and compensation.
- Develop analytical skills by reviewing processes and interpreting workforce data to recommend improvements.
- Assist in daily activities to learn the operations of a business environment.
- Complete a final project that combines classroom knowledge with real-world experience to deliver a tangible solution.
- Support cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with managers and business leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or Economics.
- Junior or Senior status is strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills are required, including the ability to produce and analyze data.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week on-site in Dallas.
