About the role#
Austin Industrial is hiring a Human Resources Intern for the Summer 2027 program. This is a full-time, paid 12-week internship based in La Porte, Texas. You will work on-site, gain exposure to various HR functions, and visit active project sites. The program runs from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily HR tasks, including administrative support and special projects.
- Maintain employee records and HR systems while ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Conduct research and analytical reviews to identify process improvements.
- Recommend solutions that support HR and business goals.
- Support employee engagement, training programs, and benefits administration.
- Participate in meetings and cross-functional initiatives.
- Assist with recruiting, candidate sourcing, interview scheduling, and onboarding.
- Complete a final internship project that applies academic knowledge to a practical business deliverable.
What you'll need#
- You must be an active Junior or Senior college student pursuing a degree in Human Resources.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
- Ability to work up to 40 hours per week.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to think analytically and present ideas professionally.
- Experience working within project teams.
