About the role#
Austin Industrial, Inc. is hiring for a 2027 Summer Heavy Civil Engineering Internship. This is a 12-week, paid, full-time program running from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027. You will work on-site at active heavy civil construction projects, gaining experience from seasoned professionals. Interns are classified as temporary employee-owners and will receive a performance review at the conclusion of the program.
What you'll do#
- Process submittals by reviewing, stamping, filing, and distributing documents.
- Send RFI’s to architects and engineers.
- Participate in and aid with weekly safety meetings.
- Assist with trade contractor coordination and scheduling.
- Engage in hands-on training with construction management software and tools.
What you'll need#
- Active status as a junior or senior college student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
- A targeted graduation date between December 2027 and December 2028.
- Ability to commute on-site to the assigned location.
- A valid driver's license.
- Legal authorization to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship.
