About the role#
Austin Industrial offers a 12-week summer internship program for students interested in construction, maintenance, estimating, project controls, and accounting. You will work on specific projects while learning our operations and processes. This role provides hands-on experience, including site visits to active projects and collaboration with our teams.
What you'll do#
- Perform analytical reviews and recommend ideas to improve business functions.
- Assist with daily tasks to learn how our business environments operate.
- Complete a final project that bridges academic theory with real-world application.
- Collaborate with departmental teams on various assignments.
- Handle additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
What you'll need#
- Active status as a Junior or Senior college student.
- Pursuing a degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or Accounting.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to work up to 40 hours per week.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to think analytically and work effectively in project teams.

- Locations: La Porte, Texas; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Decatur, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027).
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: Paid internship.
