About the role#
Join the Vegetation Management team at ATC for a Summer 2027 internship. You will support field inspections and gather environmental data to help keep the power grid safe and reliable. This role provides exposure to utility right-of-way practices and the intersection of vegetation management, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
What you'll do#
- Perform field inspections and document vegetation conditions using mobile tools.
- Update internal records and GIS maps.
- Observe contractor interactions and assist with field oversight.
- Learn about integrated vegetation management and regulatory standards.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- A valid driver license.
- Willingness to work outdoors.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- An interest in utility operations or sustainability.
- Familiarity with GIS or a strong desire to learn the software.
