About the role#
ATC is looking for a System Operations Engineering Intern to support our System Operations team. You will work on the Energy Management System (EMS) to support the reliable and economic operation of the electric transmission system. This role provides hands-on experience with SCADA and advanced network applications in a professional utility environment.
What you'll do#
- Update and maintain EMS system components.
- Support the development of visualization tools for system operators.
- Gain experience with SCADA and advanced network applications.
- Conduct engineering analysis to support reliable transmission operations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance EMS functionality.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- A collaborative mindset and curiosity.
- An interest in learning how technology supports grid reliability.
- Experience with programming or visualization tools is a plus.
