About the role#
This is a 12-month internship within the Oncology Medical Affairs team. You will work alongside Medical Advisors to support our strategy and execution for breast cancer treatments. This role offers exposure to real-world pharmaceutical strategy through projects that have both regional and national impact.
What you'll do#
- Manage and execute medical affairs tactics, including advisory boards, medical plans, congress support, and pre-launch planning.
- Create communication tools and content to support team strategy.
- Perform literature searches and write scientific summaries to inform projects.
- Coordinate and participate in team meetings and cross-functional collaborations.
- Summarize team insights and activities to help shape medical and cross-functional strategy.
- Assist with general medical affairs field and head office projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program, with graduation expected after the internship ends.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Health Sciences (advanced degrees are preferred).
- A demonstrated interest in the pharmaceutical industry and medical affairs.
- Strong initiative, self-motivation, and effective time management skills.
- Analytical abilities and the capacity to interpret complex information.
- Experience with project management and AI tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A collaborative mindset and demonstrated leadership ability.
- An understanding of clinical trials, development programs, and real-world or Phase IV studies.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Mississauga, Ontario.
- The role is full-time.
- Compensation ranges from 42,908.00 to 56,316.75 CAD annually.
