About the role#
Astranis is hiring a Software Developer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in San Francisco. Internships at Astranis typically last for twelve weeks and involve working on satellite network management software.
What you'll do#
- Design and implement UI components and back end workflows for satellite network management software.
- Work with network operations teams to build and manage satellite and ground networks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define software requirements, architecture, and design.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree.
- Experience with Django or similar frameworks.
- Experience working with relational or SQL databases like Postgres.
- Ability to rapidly prototype and develop user interface concepts focused on user experience.
- Demonstrated ability to design, write, and test software from scratch.
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or protected individual status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
