About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will join the power engineering team to contribute to satellite hardware development. Interns work on real projects, with many past participants designing hardware that has flown on our satellites. This is an on-site role based in San Francisco.
What you'll do#
- Build and test flight hardware with the engineering team.
- Design prototype circuits and test equipment to validate designs under stressed conditions.
- Bring up and debug designs in the lab.
- Write code to evaluate performance and automate satellite hardware testing.
- Coordinate assembly, integration, and environmental test efforts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. program for electrical engineering, computer engineering, or an equivalent technical degree.
- A desire to learn about and work with power electronics systems.
- Demonstrated experience personally designing, building, and testing hardware from scratch.
- US Citizenship or Green Card status is required to comply with export regulations.
