About the role#
As a Power Electronics Intern, you will join our engineering team to build and test flight hardware. This role offers the chance to contribute to meaningful projects and work on hardware that reaches space. Interns will be involved in the full development lifecycle, from initial circuit design to final integration and testing.
What you'll do#
- Build and test flight hardware alongside the power engineering team.
- Design prototype circuits and test equipment to validate performance under stressed conditions.
- Bring up and debug designs in a laboratory setting.
- Write code to automate hardware testing and evaluate performance.
- Coordinate assembly, integration, and environmental testing efforts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. program for electrical or computer engineering, or a related technical degree.
- A strong interest in power electronics systems and hands-on hardware development.
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, and testing hardware from scratch.
- Proficiency with Python and SPICE-based simulators like LTSpice or PSPICE.
- Experience with Altium Designer or similar PCB design software.
- Comfort with soldering, rework, and standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
- Familiarity with basic switched mode converter design, including buck and boost converters.
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card status is required for compliance with export regulations.
