About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on an interdisciplinary team to design, build, and test satellite hardware and software. This role requires you to be onsite 5 days a week in San Francisco.
What you'll do#
- Develop assembly and integration test plans by working with electrical, mechanical, radio frequency, and propulsion engineering teams.
- Learn to operate test equipment and instruments, including thermal chambers, vibration tables, DAQs, and oscilloscopes.
- Coordinate assembly, integration, and environmental test efforts.
- Solve complex electrical, software, and mechanical problems within an integrated system.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- You have strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- You demonstrate a passion for hardware development and hands-on design.
- Experience designing, building, and testing complex electrical systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in Python for interfacing with test equipment, processing large datasets, and visualizing data is preferred.
- You have direct experience with electrical or software design and can debug hardware and software problems under time pressure.
