About the role#
This internship is a twelve-week, full-time position for students currently enrolled in a four-year university. You will join an interdisciplinary team to design, build, and test satellite hardware and software. You will work alongside Electrical, Mechanical, Radio Frequency, and Propulsion engineering teams to develop and execute assembly and integration test plans. This role involves solving complex electrical, software, and mechanical problems within an integrated system.
What you'll do#
- Develop assembly and integration test plans and procedures.
- Coordinate assembly, integration, and environmental test efforts.
- Operate test equipment and instruments including thermal chambers, vibration tables, DAQs, and oscilloscopes.
- Debug hardware and software issues within an integrated system.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical field.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing complex electrical systems.
- Proficiency in writing Python code to interface with test equipment, process large datasets, and visualize data.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to debug hardware and software problems under time pressure.
- Must be onsite 5 days a week.
- U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status is required for compliance with export regulations.
