About the role#
Assured Guaranty is hiring an IT Helpdesk Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This role involves both daily IT operations and project work focused on AI and automation. You will gain experience with incident resolution, Windows 11 support, Microsoft enterprise tools, and VMWare virtualization. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in New York.
What you'll do#
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Build AI solutions and use Copilot AI to improve workflows.
- Track all incidents in the ServiceNow ticketing system.
- Assemble, configure, and deploy Windows desktops.
- Manage and deploy mobile devices.
- Reconcile IT hardware assets within the ServiceNow database.
- Perform QA testing for major IT projects.
- Monitor performance for desktop PCs and VDI environments.
- Support Microsoft Teams deployments.
- Improve user experience by creating FAQs and updating the self-service portal.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program, ideally in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Proficiency with Windows 10, PC hardware, mobile devices, and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and with a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Prior coursework or experience with AI is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Pay: $30 to $32 per hour.
- Perks: Weekly catered breakfast and lunch on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, plus intern-specific events and meals.
- Housing: A stipend may be available for interns living outside of the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut tri-state area.
