About the role#
Assured Guaranty is hiring an intern to support the financial reporting group during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in New York City.
What you'll do#
- Prepare templates for financial reports, including work within Workiva.
- Collect supporting documentation needed for financial statement preparation.
- Perform tie-outs of financial statements and footnotes against supporting documents for management review.
- Assist with the preparation, mailing, and filing of financial statements.
- Handle various administrative tasks as they arise.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, or business administration.
- Basic knowledge of general accounting or business principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills.
- Clear verbal and written communication abilities.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A self-motivated, reliable, and consistent approach to work.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 8 through July 30).
- Pay: $30 to $32 per hour.
- Perks: Weekly catered breakfast and lunch on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, plus intern-specific events and meals. A housing stipend may be available for those living outside the tri-state area.
