Materials Project Intern

About the role#

This is a 12-week, full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in Phoenix, Arizona, collaborating with cross-functional teams across materials, supply chain, finance, and manufacturing to address real-world cost management challenges.

What you'll do#

• Map ASM’s global materials movements by supplier, shipping method, and entry plant.
• Develop a Total Landed Cost tool to calculate costs, including shipping, tariffs, taxes, duties, and logistics-related expenses by ship-from and ship-to location.
• Create what-if scenarios to evaluate cost impacts for manufacturing tools built in the US, Korea, and Singapore, as well as materials shipped to spares warehouses.
• Perform full cost analysis based on shipping lanes, tariffs, taxes, and country of destination.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing an MBA with a focus on Supply Chain, Analytics/AI, Finance, or Operations.
• Strong interest in or exposure to supply chain, cost modeling, or global operations.
• Semiconductor industry experience or a strong interest in the industry.
