About the role#
The Campus Safety Intern helps maintain a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors at Arizona Christian University. You will serve as a uniformed presence on campus to promote safety and deter misconduct. This role requires a commitment to the mission of the university, including active Christian faith and the ability to support others from a biblical perspective. You will be expected to sign the University Statement of Faith and Core Commitments annually.
What you'll do#
- Maintain a visible and professional presence to promote safety and deter unlawful activity.
- Inspect campus buildings to confirm that doors and access points are secure.
- Support traffic control on campus roadways and parking areas.
- Document incidents and observations through clear reports.
- Assist campus safety leadership with administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with staff during special events and emergencies.
- Report suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or policy violations immediately.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at Arizona Christian University in good academic standing.
- A strong sense of professionalism, responsibility, and integrity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to remain calm and act decisively during emergencies.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Preferred: Prior experience in security or safety and familiarity with administrative tasks.
