About the role#
Arcadis is seeking a Legal Intern to join our Mobility group in New York. You will support legal and business teams working on complex transportation and infrastructure programs, including rail, transit, and roadway projects. This role involves researching regulatory matters, reviewing project documentation, and assisting with risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Research legal and regulatory requirements for public procurement, construction, and contracting at federal, state, and local levels.
- Draft, review, and revise contracts, internal policies, and project correspondence.
- Identify and document legal and commercial risks affecting Mobility projects.
- Organize materials for meetings, audits, claims, and records requests.
- Collaborate with legal counsel and business stakeholders to gather information and track follow-up tasks.
- Maintain confidential legal files, research notes, and project trackers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor degree.
- Interest in infrastructure, public contracting, construction, or corporate law.
- Strong skills in legal research, analytical writing, and document review.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with attention to detail.
- Sound judgment when handling confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and legal research tools.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
