About the role#
The HR Compliance Intern provides administrative, research, reporting, and project support for regional HR compliance activities. You will report to the Americas Regional HR Compliance and Labor Relations Manager and support compliance, audit readiness, and governance initiatives across the Americas, APAC, and EMEA regions. This role offers practical experience in a multinational HR environment.
What you'll do#
- Support managers with HR compliance, audit readiness, and governance activities.
- Organize and maintain compliance documentation, trackers, process materials, and reference resources.
- Track action items, remediation plans, audit requests, and follow-up activities.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations, and summaries concerning compliance risks and regional initiatives.
- Create training materials, communications, and guidance documents for regional HR teams.
- Monitor government submissions, deadlines, vendor deliverables, and project milestones.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive HR information.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Interest in HR compliance, risk management, audit, data analytics, or HR operations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to organize information accurately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of data analytics and the ability to summarize HR data for reporting.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Professionalism and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Indefinite right to work in the United States.
- Prior internship, coursework, or project experience in HR, compliance, audit, or data analysis is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Northbrook, Illinois.
- Modality: Hybrid, with 3 days per week on-site.
- Term: Summer 2027 (10-12 weeks).
- Compensation: $25.00 per hour.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
