About the role#
The Student Worker Lead oversees food operations at the Elon location. You will manage daily activities, supervise staff, and ensure food quality and safety standards are met. This role requires a balance of administrative tasks and hands-on work in the kitchen and serving areas.
What you'll do#
- Supervise, train, and mentor food service staff to encourage teamwork and efficiency.
- Manage and produce work schedules for the team.
- Maintain accurate weekly inventory and prepare orders to support production.
- Ensure all food items are stored, prepared, and served according to safety and health regulations.
- Perform equipment maintenance checks and recommend replacements when necessary.
- Fill in for absent staff and assist with catering events, including occasional nights and weekends.
- Communicate daily with staff and attend regular service meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current student status at the Aramark location.
- Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Capability to resolve interpersonal situations and maintain emotional control under stress.
- Knowledge of how to operate an efficient, cost-effective program.
- Completion of a sanitation course, either before starting or during your first year.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
